There was crowded house at Exchange Hall, Blackburn, last night see an excellent picture programme, while the variety fair was also very good.
” The Trappers” is the title of exciting tale of the Wild West, and was well received, while ” Mountebank’s Son ” was dramatic film of above the average. “The Blind Man’s Daughter,” a pathetic series and ‘Curlew Bell’ five strong dramatic subjects. The humorous section of the programme is also well represented, and “The Boa Constrictor” caused much laughter. While ‘A Mistake in the Address’ and ” I’ve Lost a Penny’ were also extremely amusing. Mr Tom Brierley, descriptive humorist, for his comedy sketch received a well-earned encore. Mr Wilson also delighted the house by his songs. There will be the usual matinee on Saturday afternoon.
